Tendulkar's Innings of 95 , one of the best ever by the little master

Why would Dravid thinks this innings was one of the greatest innings of probably the greatestes batsman ever to play the sport? Would Dravid make the same statement if India did not carry to win the game? Tendulkar got on 95, when India needed their well settled batsman to continue and finish the job that he started. So many times in the past that Tendulkar starts an innings with a flurry and rest of the ream is not able to finish the task. I have always wondered is it too much to ask someone to start the task, build on the task and expect them to finish the task too. When he got out Inida still needed 100 runs in 97 balls, if it is any other team other than mighty Australians the team would lose that game. Inzzamam Mul Haq mentioned that in his post game interview that once we got Tendulkar out we knew we had upper hand in the game. This is not the first time that this has happen to the team India. People blame tendulkar for not having lot of game winning innigs. They argue that he scored lot of is runs when the team did not needed them the most. I disagree, and today was the great example, and I remembered once in the past where he played the best innings anyone have ever played in my book and team India lost.

I agree with Captain Dravid in this situation. It is not that he got out with team still needing another 100 runs to win, but he got the team within 100 runs of winning the match. There is a reason there are 11 players in the team. The way he adjusted the conditions in the middle, and relaized that he is staying out in the middle as long as he can, is the best chance for team India to win the game. If tendulkar gets out earlier in the innings and Yuvraj and Dhoni comes to bat in the 25th over, they will not be able to survive the pressure or the conditions.
